Challenge

A customer in Gardner, KS wanted a privacy fence built. The fence needed to be constructed with the finished side facing outward from the property. The fence posts and support beams needed to be on the inside or designed as an integral part of the finished surface. The fence also needed to be located behind and not enclose the electric meter on the house. A minimum of 3 feet clearance was provided between the fence and the meter.

The fence needed to be at least 5 feet from any secondary electrical pedestal and 10 feet from the openable side of any electrical transformer. There had to be a minimum of 3 feet clearance maintained around any sewer manholes and 5 feet clearance maintained around miscellaneous utility boxes.

Solution

Arrow Renovation complied with all permit requirements and built a 100 foot privacy fence with two gates on each side of the house. Our crew used cedar 6 foot staggered wood. It was high quality western red cedar. The posts were 4x4 pre-stained cedartone pressure treated pine and rot-risistant. Arrow used 60 lbs of high strength concrete.

The first gate was a 48" wide gate and was installed with black steel hardware. The second gate was a 60" wide gate with black steel hardware. Arrow Renovation included a labor warranty guarantee and the customer was very happy with their new privacy fence.
